Here you have 2 huge antique Hungarian banknotes engraved in brown, burgundy, purple and fuchsia on a green background. The imagery is etched right in to the paper with steel plates not merely printed on the paper. The notes depict 2 icons of Hungarian history, Matyas Kiraly (1440-1490) and Petofi Sandor (1823-1849)/ The reverse of the 50 Pengo shows a Hungarian "cowboy" galloping across the steppes with a herd of horses, while the 100 Pengo shows the Imperial Palace in Budapest.
